The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport has continued to make health and safety improvements to our facilities in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We have implemented more frequent disinfecting of high-touch, high-traffic areas with cleaning products recognized by the Centers for Disease Control. We have also rearranged seating, placed floor signage to encourage social distancing, and added hand sanitizer stations throughout the terminal to provide a safe environment for our travelers.

Most recently, EAU has installed bi-polar ionization equipment in the airline passenger terminal building air handlers. Bi-polar ionization works to constantly disinfect surfaces without human intervention by sending out ions to destroy viruses. Choosing to fly from your local airport may also reduce the number of individuals you typically would encounter along the way.
