At Chippewa Valley Regional Airport, safety remains our top priority. As such, we have implemented more frequent disinfecting of high-touch, high-traffic areas with cleaning products recognized by the Centers for Disease Control. We have also placed floor signage to encourage social distancing, provided complimentary masks, added hand sanitizer stations, and increased utilization of touch-free technology throughout the terminal to provide a safe environment for our travelers.

The latest enhancement is the installation of bi-polar ionization equipment in the airline passenger terminal building air handlers. Bi-polar ionization works to constantly disinfect surfaces without human intervention by sending out ions to destroy viruses, which will improve the facility, not just in the fight against COVID-19, but by fighting many other germs and viruses such as the common cold.
